Hogar De Niños Senderos De Amor
San Pedro Sula

History Of The Home
In early 1984 a group of Christians belonging to the Catholic Church decided to form an association calling it "Social Action Association (AS.AS)" in order to make a social non-profit, achieving legal status in the month of June of the same year.
Concerned about the many children wandering the streets of the city and there was no place for them, they went to the Municipality of San Pedro Sula to request a property that met the criteria necessary to make a home to house these children, and once the target was achieved it began what is now the "Children's Home Trails of Love".

On September 10th, 1984 the center opened with a population of eight children, increasing the quota every year. In recent years we have grown to sixty children, whom they have covered all their needs.

Currently the facilities have improved a lot and we focus on children receiving everything they need to meet our objectives.

Children Deserve The Support Of All

Latest Projects

1. The Honduran government has shut down their orphanages therefore we have received a number of new children. We are the only home that was able to take the children with special needs.

2. We would like to build a multi-use court.  Here the children will be able to play basketball, soccer and other sports.  We already have the budget on paper and blueprints for this project.  We need to raise money to begin construction.

3. The need of a new Laundry facility is still going on. Our current washer and dryer needs to be replaced with industrial size washers and dryers.  This will take a load off all the hard work of doing some of the laundry and ironing by hand.

4. Our kitchen needs new appliances, particularly a new oven. With a new oven we can can prepare a variety of healthier meals for our kids.

Please contact us and we will be happy to forward you any other information regarding our projects.  We also welcome new ideas and proposals that will benefit our children and the home.
